When will I be able to use my carpet after cleaning?
The only moisture we use on your carpet is our spot cleaner. Depending on how soiled your carpet is will determine the amount of spot cleaner used. Usually, it takes 30 minutes to 1.5 hours for the spot cleaner to dry. However, you can walk on your carpet during and after cleaning. (We recommend that you wear slippers or socks.)

Doesn't having my carpet cleaned make it soil quicker?
Not with the dry extraction method. Companies that use soap and water leave behind sticky residue that attracts dirt. Also, if too much water is used, the padding will get wet, causing odor and spots to set and reappear. The dry extraction method never leaves behind a sticky residue because water and soap are not used!

What about the health of children and pets?
Small children and pets should not have contact with damp carpets. KAWASAKI'S Syndrome afflicts small children and has been linked to damp carpets. There is no hard evidence that damp carpets cause the disease. Dry carpet cleaning avoids the risks and problems of damp carpets.

Why do some companies only charge $15.00 to clean three rooms of carpet?
In the carpet industry there are professionals and "low ball" cleaners. "Low ball" cleaners misadvertise prices and actually pressure customers to spend hundreds of dollars. At TUG, we educate our customers. Professional cleaners will proudly display there rates because you are paying for quality deep cleanings, like at TUG.

Do I have to be present while my carpet is being cleaned?
We recommend that first time customers are present for their first cleaning in order to show technicians the desired areas to be cleaned. It is also important for customers to point out spots and concerns to technicians. Our technicians also take pride in reviewing the cleaning process and invoice with our customers. Technicians take pleasure in knowing the customer is completely satisfied with the service provided.

Why do spots return?
Spots return due to wet or foam carpet cleaning methods that leave soapy solvents behind to dry in the carpet. Dried soap residue acts as a magnet by attracting dirt and dust buildups in the carpet. Spots do not return on their own. (In fact, they never leave.) They return to the surface due to substances that have been left behind in the carpet.
On the other hand, stains are different from spots. Stains have embedded themselves in the fibers of the carpet and are almost impossible to eliminate. However, regular professional cleaning can lighten stained areas to make them tolerable.
